Just to let you guys know, I brought my kids to Charlestown as a back to school treat last week. I let them bring some friends so I had two 14 year olds and two 12 year olds. I got on the ice too and it wasn't too bad - I got the hang of it fairly quickly. The kids took to it really quickly. It was a fantastic day out and we finished off with a meander around the shopping centre. I was very sore after it however, used some muscles that I didn't know I had!
I would recommend it for ages 6 upwards through to teenagers. I think it is a bit fast for the younger kids - I know I would be nervous if I had smaller ones with me.
